We're reintroducing monthly vouchers for top voters, but this time, there's a new system in place. In the past, some players found ways to exploit the voting system, hindering others from receiving vouchers. To tackle this, we've instituted a fresh approach: to qualify for a monthly voucher, players need a minimum of 200 votes within the past 30 days. Out of those who meet this requirement, 10 lucky players will be randomly chosen to receive vouchers on the 1st of each month.

Updates in Skyblock:

  • Significant changes have taken place since the reset. Here's a swift rundown:
  • Access to /is fly now requires an island level of 1000.
  • Island level 250 grants access to /is warp.
  • To access the Nether, an island level of 200 is required.
  • We've enabled a new setting allowing players to utilize the "break spawner" flag.
  • Introducing a new Resource Crate and adjusted shop prices.
  • Numerous bug fixes have been implemented.

SlimeFun Updates:

  • Automatically removing disabled items that were glitched or crafted before their disablement.
  • Unfortunately, a few items causing crashes had to be disabled, but we've managed to fix some issues.
  • Seeking feedback on "Dimensional Homes."

Global Improvements:

  • The ongoing issue with slow mob spawning has been mostly resolved.
  • Addressing Pets bugging out (pending restart).
  • The team has begun work on the new Hall of Fame and Claim Fees. Note: Claim fees are currently for informational purposes only to provide players with an idea of what to expect. We'll release a detailed announcement once claim fees are officially launched.

Exciting news – our Skyblock server has undergone a recent reset, and we're thrilled to introduce an all-new Skyblock experience based on Minecraft 1.20.

This revamped Skyblock server comes with a plethora of new biomes and generators, adding an extra layer of challenge and exploration. However, unlocking these features requires a sufficiently high island level. To enhance your gameplay, we've introduced the /is fly command, accessible at an island level of 1000, and Island Warps, which become available at an island level of 250.

As you dive into the new Skyblock adventure, you can expect all the familiar goodies, including VoidAuctions, Quests, Events, and more. But that's not all – we're reintroducing Is Top with a 2-week grace period. Stay tuned for more details on that in the coming days!

It's worth noting that some commands have evolved since version 1.8. For instance, /is invite is now /is team invite, and there are more changes you can explore using the /is help command along with tab complete.

And here's the cherry on top: new pet types are now available in the store!

Party System Update

Posted by Dieu6 months ago

In response to the valuable feedback and suggestions we've received regarding parties on ExtremeCraft, we've carefully considered the concerns raised by our community.

To address the current dynamics, we are modifying the friendly-fire limit from 55 online members to 35 online members per party. Additionally, we are reintroducing party upgrades to the store, offering players more options to enhance their party experience.

We acknowledge that not everyone may be entirely satisfied with these adjustments, but we believe they are necessary steps to maintain a balanced environment for parties and PVP. We remain open to further suggestions from our community. It's important to note that merely adjusting the friendly-fire limit without considering broader implications may not provide a comprehensive solution. For instance, a limit of 55 would mean that one-third of online players could potentially be in the same party, given that 1.20 servers have a limit of 150 players.

Constructive suggestions should not only focus on changing the limit but also propose effective ways for other individuals or parties to engage with a party comprising 70 players online.

Our goal at ExtremeCraft is to avoid scenarios where a single party dominates the entire server, as this would undermine the essence of having diverse parties on ExtremeCraft.

After carefully considering and addressing numerous player concerns regarding world size limitations, looted spawners, chests, and more, we are excited to announce a groundbreaking solution. We've pondered this extensively, and as a result, we're proud to introduce the new "Expandable World" feature across all survival-like servers—currently implemented on Slimefun, Skygrid, and Survival. Of course, this enhancement wouldn't be applicable to servers such as Skyblock, Prison, or Creative.

How does it work, you ask?

Players now have the ability to expand the world border by contributing funds to the World Expansion Fund. Once the required amount is reached, the world border will automatically expand, granting players the option to collectively invest in a larger map if they so choose.

To facilitate this, we've added the new "/expandableworld" command along with "/expandableworld deposit " command, providing an accessible and user-friendly way for players to participate in expanding the world and shaping the server's landscape.

In a significant transformation, our RPG server has been rebranded as the Slimefun server, aligning with its primary focus on the beloved Slimefun plugin. The update brings a multitude of changes to enhance the gaming experience.

First and foremost, the server has been fully upgraded to Minecraft 1.20, ushering in a wave of new possibilities. In a strategic move, we've replaced mcmmo with various Slimefun addons, aligning the server more closely with its unique theme.

Numerous new features, familiar to players of our other servers, have been introduced. These include the BattlePass, Events, an improved Shop, Token shop, and more. To maintain balance, we've buffed kits and crates to bring them in line with the powerful Slimefun items.

The Slimefun server now boasts several expansions, each contributing to the overall gameplay experience: Gastronomicon, FastMachines, SoundMuffler, Bump, SfChunkInfo, DynaTech, ExtraGear, SlimefunLuckyBlocks, ExoticGarden, SlimeHUD, InfinityExpansion, LiteXpansion, ExtraHeads, FluffyMachines.

However, due to bugs or imbalances, certain items and features have been temporarily disabled. These include, but are not limited to: Grappling Hook, Pickaxe of Containment, Blade of Vampires, Helicopter Hat, Scroll of Dimensional Teleposition, Tome of Knowledge Sharing, Jetpacks, Jetboots, Soulbounds, Backpacks, Barrels, Multi-Tools.

With these changes, we aim to create a more immersive and balanced Slimefun experience for all our players. Dive in and explore the exciting new features awaiting you in the Slimefun server!

We're thrilled to announce that our SkyGrid server has just experienced a refreshing reset, bringing a wave of exciting changes to enhance your gaming experience. Here's a detailed breakdown of what's new:

  1. Server Upgrade to Version 1.20: The entire server has been meticulously updated to the latest version 1.20. With this upgrade, you can expect to encounter a host of new mobs and blocks that will undoubtedly add a fresh dynamic to your adventures.

  2. mcmmo Makes a Comeback: We've brought back the beloved mcmmo features, allowing you to hone your skills and engage in immersive gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, mcmmo adds an extra layer of excitement and progression to your SkyGrid experience.

  3. Revamped In-Game Economy: A brand-new economy system has been introduced, featuring in-game currency and tokens. Dive into this revamped economic landscape, earn money through your in-game endeavors, and collect tokens to unlock special perks and items. This dynamic economy is designed to enrich your gameplay and provide new avenues for exploration.

  4. Quests and Achievements: To spice things up, we've incorporated a variety of quests and achievements. Embark on challenging quests that test your skills and unlock achievements to showcase your accomplishments. These additions not only provide goals to strive for but also reward you for your dedication and expertise in the SkyGrid world.

With these comprehensive updates, we aim to create a more immersive, engaging, and rewarding experience on our SkyGrid server. Dive in, explore the new features, and let the adventure unfold in this revitalized gaming environment!

Creative: Updates and fixes

Posted by Dieu7 months ago

Our creative server experienced a significant update not too long ago, and while it ushered in a variety of enhancements, it also brought along a handful of glitches and malfunctions that needed our immediate attention.

We are thrilled to share the positive news that our dedicated team has diligently worked on resolving most of these issues, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our community. As part of these efforts, the map has been meticulously updated to version 1.20.2, addressing specific concerns related to scoreboards.

Furthermore, we are excited to introduce a new Sitting plugin, enhancing the interactive elements of our server. To complement this addition, we've introduced new commands like /crawl, /sit, /lay, and more, providing users with an expanded range of actions and possibilities.

Acknowledging the importance of user convenience, our team has also addressed and fixed the tab complete functionality, refining it to ensure a seamless and efficient user interface.

The Extremecraft Minecraft network's Survival server has just undergone a complete reset, ushering in the latest update, version 1.20.2. While the reset did take a bit longer than expected due to the extensive work required to fix and enhance the server, the end result is a survival experience like never before.

Here's a closer look at the notable changes and exciting features:

1. Merging of Survival and OpSurvival Servers: In a significant move, the Survival and OpSurvival servers have been merged into one, providing a more unified and enjoyable gaming experience.

2. EULA Compliance and the Introduction of Tokens: To ensure compliance with the Minecraft EULA, some perks and server elements have been reworked. As a result, a brand-new in-game currency, known as Tokens, has been introduced. Players can acquire Tokens through gameplay, including completing quests and achievements, or by purchasing them from the server's store. Crates and similar items can no longer be directly purchased from the store, making them part of the in-game experience. This change enhances the fairness of the server's economy.

3. Adjustments to PvP Commands: In line with the EULA compliance changes, certain commands that could provide advantages in player versus player (PvP) situations, such as /feed and /heal, have been disabled. This ensures a more balanced and competitive PvP environment.

4. Exciting Additions: The server reset is not just about EULA compliance; it comes with a host of exciting new features. Players can now participate in the BattlePass, engage in various events, and enjoy a more dynamic gaming experience. Additionally, a new Shop and economy have been introduced, giving players more opportunities to trade and interact within the server.

5. Ongoing Improvements: While the Survival server is already back online, the team at Extremecraft is hard at work, continuing to improve and enhance the gaming experience. There are plans to bring these exciting changes to other servers as well, so stay tuned for more updates.

This reset and the subsequent changes mark an exciting new chapter in the Extremecraft Minecraft network's Survival server. With an emphasis on fairness, balance, and a more immersive experience, players are encouraged to dive back in and explore all the new features and possibilities. Whether you're a long-time player or a newcomer, the revamped server promises endless adventures and endless fun!

We're thrilled to announce that we are currently in the process of updating our server/network to bring you an even more immersive gaming experience. Our team has been hard at work implementing changes and improvements to enhance your time on ExtremeCraft.

In addition to these updates, we are dedicated to ensuring that our server complies with the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA). This means that we will be making some adjustments to align with the latest EULA guidelines, ensuring a fair and enjoyable environment for all players.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transitional period. These changes are designed to elevate your gameplay and create a more compliant and welcoming community for everyone.

Stay tuned for further announcements as we roll out these exciting updates.

It's happening again!

This was probably long overdue but we're happy to announce we've updated anti-cheat on all 1.17 servers to a more appropriate "solution" since there were more and more players using and abusing all kinds of mods recently. We already did some testing but if there are any false positives you should report them, so we can fix them :)

Wings and Trails are being added back to 1.17 servers, Trails should already be there for Wings we still have to push some updates (some wings are not working right now, this will be fixed with the next restart).

We've also addressed issues with Pets, which should now be compatible with clients below 1.17 (yes, ridding and flying were fixed).

SkyGrid reset

Posted by Dieu2 years ago

Looks like it's that time of the year again. SkyGrid reset time! It's been awhile since last SkyGrid reset but now it's back, with new spawn, new PVP arenas, new Economy, everything is new? :0

ok... maybe not THAT map...

SkyGrid world generator was updated to 1.17 so now you can find 1.17 spawners, blocks, chests with new items and everything else you would expect on 1.17 Skygrid server. You can now also use global Tokens on SkyGrid server.

As far as economy goes, we're still open for suggestions on which items should be added, but keep in mind adding everything to the server shop would kill player shops and we don't want to do that do we?

Skygrid server will be reset on Friday, January 14th. With that Skygrid server will be running on Minecraft 1.17, which means you will only be able to connect with Minecraft 1.9 or higher (Minecraft 1.17 is recommended for now). We're of course also updating the world generator:

Image

There will also be a new Nether and End world. Yes, chests, yes, spawners, etc... yes, YES!! Put that X-Ray away unless you're using it to cut trees.

[subtitle]BuildBattle[/subtitle]

Unfortunately, most of the BuildBattle plots submitted this month were not eligible, however, we had at least one good submission:

Everyone else... well, better luck next time.

RPG Server reset!

Posted by Dieu2 years ago
It's been a while since the last RPG reset, but it finally happened! RPG was just reset and updated to 1.17, we've also updated SlimeFun and everything that goes with that (1.17 mcMMO, 1.17 GriefPrevention, ...).

Since RPG server is now running Minecraft 1.17 you can only connect with Minecraft 1.9 or higher, we recommend Minecraft 1.17.1.

What about 1.18 update? 1.18 update will likely happen as an upgrade (not reset) once the 1.18 server is stable enough.

OpSkyblock reset!

Posted by Dieu2 years ago
OpSkyblock 1.17 is finally here. You need Minecraft 1.9 or higher to join the new OpSkyblock server (you can't join with 1.8 clients anymore, Minecraft 1.17 is recommended).

Opskyblock reset!

Aside from new crates, a new economy and a lot of 1.17 stuff here a list of most notable changes:
- Custom islands, for all worlds (overworld, nether and end)
- Island Bank
- Biome selector
- The ability to summon mobs with magic!
- Challenges are back :)
- New island control panel and settings (also check me out, likes, visit and promote features)
- We've of course kept Island Fly (now /is fly)
- New Magic Cobblestone generators
- Players can grow trees faster by twerking!
A critical security Exploit has been discovered in the multiplayer version of Minecraft, which includes servers and clients running versions of Minecraft as far back as 1.7.

Mojang has not officially provided any specifics about the exploit but advises players not to play any versions before Minecraft 1.17 for the time being. If you're using vanilla launcher restarting the game's launcher should download a fix for the vulnerability, fixing Minecraft versions 1.12 through 1.18. Versions prior to Minecraft 1.12 may still be vulnerable. The exploit is related to Log4j, before version 2.15, which can be found in the Minecraft client and server.

Any Minecraft server running a vulnerable version of Log4j is susceptible to having an attacker remotely run the downloaded code on a user's computer, which may allow the attacker to gain access to the device. The vulnerability lies in Log4j which allows connections to be made to arbitrary URLs, which may then download malicious code to a user's computer.

ExtremeCraft already patched the issue, but you should be sure you're running Minecraft 1.17 or higher, update your Launcher, or both.

As a temporary workaround before the release of 1.18.1, Mojang advises disabling the lookup feature of Log4j using a JAR argument when starting the game (enabled by default when you update your Launcher): -Dlog4j2.formatMsgNoLookups=true
We're sorry for the delay, but at last, here is the list of BuildBattle Winners. We were planning on updating Creative to 1.17 and were unsure how things will play out... but now, now creative is running on 1.17.1 and all your plots and builds are still there!

This of course means you now need Minecraft 1.9 or higher to join creative and 1.17 or higher if you want to see all new blocks and mobs.

OpSurvival Server reset

Posted by Dieu2 years ago
As some of you probably noticed, we're currently testing Minecraft 1.17.1 on OpSurvival server. Unfortunately due to the number of plugins that had to be updated this took a bit longer than anticipated. But now we're happy to announce you can preview 1.17.1 in its full glory on our OpSurvival server, be sure to report any possible issues and bugs.

As of now, you can connect to OpSurvival with Minecraft 1.9 or higher, tho it's recommended to use Minecraft 1.17 or 1.17.1. Also please note that the current OpSurvival server is still prerelease, it will be reset and released on 22nd October.

Most of the plugins and features were already updated to 1.17.1, but we're still working on things like Custom Enchants that will be added later on.

With OpSurvival reset, we will be bringing back the vanilla world generator, which means OpSurvival world will contain Caves, Mineshafts, Dungeons, etc. Sadly this also means we're going to merge SurvivalPlus and OpSurvival into one server, the current state of SurvivalPlus is rather bad and it's impossible to keep it updated and running as some of you already noticed.

Hardcore Factions release

Posted by Dieu2 years ago
It finally happened, the Hardcore Factions server is now open!

We're sorry about all the delays and issues, but unfortunately, it took longer than anticipated.

With that out of the way, I would like to point out again that the new Hardcore Factions server is and will stay EULA compliant. Meaning you won't have any in-game advantages whenever you're playing with Member or Nexus rank. As result some of the permissions for Member rank were updated on the Hardcore Factions server (extra homes, silk spawners, ...), we understand this might be a bit different from Factions servers we had before but there really is no other way.

As you can imagine you also can't buy crates keys, in-game money, boss items from the store, instead you can now get them by voting, by winning KOTH events, or simply by looting Envoys.

Outposts and most of the recently added custom features are there, grace period as usual and we're still working on some updates and bug fixes.

Since this was a major group/permissions update, bug reports, as well as suggestions, are welcomed! With suggestions, just keep in mind ranks can not give any kinds of advantages, unless we give it to everyone (Member rank).

Anarchy, Factions, Ranks...

Posted by Dieu2 years ago
It's happening! As most of you probably already noticed, HallOfFame season ended on OpFactions and with that, we're removing Factions and OpFactions servers from ExtremeCraft.

But I wanna play Factions! We've got you covered, hopefully. Next Friday (6th) we will be releasing a new Factions server. Now since Factions gamemode is competitive by definition and we want to keep the server EULA compliant, the new Factions server won't be PayToWin. Global ranks will not give players any advantages and it will be impossible to buy spawners, keys, or anything like that. Unfortunately, that's the only way to keep the Factions server alive and part of ExtremeCraft.

We're also bringing back Global ranks, which of course won't give any advantages on competitive servers (say new Factions server for example). All those changes to Global ranks required a lot of changes and updates, if there are any bugs please let us know. While we're at it we've also decided to update the Anarchy server (not to 1.17 tho that's coming soon too), but we're bringing the Anarchy server closer to what it "should" be, which means the removal of some perks that were part of global ranks and removal of Lockette plugin.

Players who already bought per server ranks, had their ranks automatically upgraded into global ranks. Also, we're happy to announce connectivity issues should now be fixed.
Following up on the recent changes with EULA and Global ranks, we've decided to end the current HallOfFame season on OpFactions server a bit sooner than usual, which means the current week is the last week of this season.

With all the changes related to ranks, gameplay and more it doesn't make sense to reset OpFactions and Factions anymore, and even if we do it's likely not going to be very enjoyable to play. Instead, we've decided to retire both Factions and OpFactions servers.

Now, since it seems like there are still quite a few players interested in playing Factions we will be releasing a new server, Hardcore Factions. Since ExtremeCraft was removed from the blacklist and we're now strictly following the new EULA, Hardcore Factions will still be a competitive gamemode but without any Pay2Win perks.

With that, we're also bringing back global ranks. Players who already bought per server ranks will have those ranks automatically upgraded into Global ranks, that being said Hardcore Factions will be the only competitive server in our network at least for time being, which means Global ranks will give players no advantages on Hardcore Factions (only things like cosmetics and titles).

We understand this might be kinda unexpected to some players but unfortunately it's the only way to move forward.

[subtitle]OpSurvival Beta[/subtitle] We're currently testing our new OpSurvival!
There are many changes and additions so we decided to release a beta in /go testing for a week or so, feel free to join our Beta testing Discord to leave feedback and report issues! Discord Invite (you must be verified on our main Discord in order to participate)
Here's a quick list of things you can expect:
  • PvE Zone
  • Souls economy and SoulsShop
  • BattlePass and rewards
  • New Quests and Achievements
  • New Custom Enchantments
  • SkyGrid alternative world
  • Reduced P2W
  • Carepackages in PvP
  • New Spawn and new PvP
You've probably already heard some chatter about this, but the EULA is changing, and after seeing most of our players are more interested in fun causal servers, compared to competitive servers, we've decided to embrace this. We already started working on and are finishing up store and server updates to get ExtremeCraft fully EULA compliant. We know some players prefer competitive servers but as you saw over the past year, this never really worked out well for ExtremeCraft. [subtitle]What does that mean?[/subtitle] As of now, all HallOfFame seasons have finished, except on Factions servers. With exception of Factions servers, we will be changing all ExtremeCraft servers into non-competitive servers, as such most of the perks being sold on those game modes are already compliant with the new EULA. Instead of focusing on making our servers competitive, we will be focusing on catching up on updates, yes 1.17 is coming to ExtremeCraft real soon, with new blocks, new mobs, new features, and more. [subtitle]What about Factions and OpFactions?[/subtitle] We're not planning on changing our global ranks but they will be removed from the store and replaced with new ranks and perks. Furthermore, we will not be adding back any ranks or perks on Factions and OpFactions servers, that would provide players with unfair advantages. For now Factions and OpFactions will be the only competitive servers left on ExtremeCraft. [subtitle]Bans? Unbans? Unban all?[/subtitle] Following the new EULA, we also proceeded to remove Unbans from our store. We've recently revised our rules and updated our AI handling ban appeals so that ban appeals won't be auto-closed anymore if you had too many offenses. We're NOT doing "unban all", blindly unbanning all players left and right as we've tried that in the past and it didn't really work out, but you are welcomed to submit a ban appeal if you're banned. [subtitle]HallOfFame changes[/subtitle] With all those changes in mind, HallOfFame rewards are now BiWeekly and only on Factions and OpFactions servers.

OpFactions reset 2021!

Posted by Dieu3 years ago
As promised everything from faster SandBots, Wall Generators to Outposts was added with this OpFactions reset. But there's more, we also added a whole new system for Custom Enchants, improved Custom Enchant NPCs and the way items are handled on Anvils.

We've also updated /f topinfo and /od durabilities, important thing to keep in mind is that we're going to remove Diamond Blocks and Emerald Blocks from /od durabilities with the next restart, but they will still count for FTOP points.

Hopper limit was raised from 40 to 60, which also affects double, triple, and quadruple limits. Instead of adding TNTBankTool kit we've decided to add it to /shop. Player power was increased from 50 to 60 which should help with outposts, tho outposts will only start to spawn after the grace period is over. Following this, we also updated crates, vote rewards, and OpFactions server economy.

As part of Store updates, in-game money, McMMO credits, and IronGolem spawners were removed, vouchers from HallOfFame season are now only valid for 7 days. However this is just a start, we will be adding new stuff shortly.
It's been a while and if you have noticed yet, OpFactions server is being reset this Friday (4th)! That being said we already pushed some updates to OpFactions including new Custom Enchants. Unfortunately, all old Custom Enchants are now disabled, but you're welcome to test out and give feedback on new Custom Enchants. You can get new enchants at /warp enchanter via NPC and to make things even easier we added XP Bottles to in-game shop (super cheap only $1).

[subtitle]AcidIsland[/subtitle] Hall Of Fame season running on AcidIsland server just ended, mainly because players were just leveraging it to farm free vouchers while there were not actually that many players playing AcidIsland. At this point, we're unable to confirm when the next AcidIsland server reset will come or if Hall Of Fame will still be a thing on AcidIsland - this mainly depends on the amount of players who are interested in actually playing AcidIsland server.
[subtitle]Store and Vouchers[/subtitle] We're planning to remove some P2W items from the store and changing Hall Of Fame Vouchers a bit within the next few days, to prevent players from hijacking whole HOF seasons making it difficult if not impossible for others to play.
