You should add proximity chat into the game because of the following reasons
1 it will be easier to use and it will help players who are laggy and have to open discord to talk with their friends if it was implemented into the game these players won't need to open other apps or tabs which would help them with lag
2 it will be easier fire players to communicate with each other and it will give the players a better gaming experience
3 it will make everyone happy

I shall give more reasons for proximity chat,
1. Improved communication among players in close proximity
2. Better coordination of activities in shared areas
3. More immersive gameplay experience
4. Encourages socialization and player interactions
5. Provides a way to alert players of nearby dangers or opportunities
6. Allows players to quickly exchange information and resources
7. Supports role-playing and storytelling in a shared world
8. Can be used to create unique gameplay mechanics
9. Enhances the sense of community and belonging among players
10. Helps players find each other and join forces in survival mode.
Some reasons may be similar, but I hope you will consider this suggestion,
