I think it's a good idea if you let players know when a server will reset. For example, one week before Survival mode resets, you make an announcement for it here in order to build hype. It also lets people plan out their calendars so they know when to start playing.

Related topic: Please if you're planning on resetting a server, do it at the start of the holidays and not after. That way people can really flock to the server (as there's no classes) which means more activity and more revenue.
