Alright this is a very personal opinion but custom enchanter imo is a HUGE part of factions otherwise you eventually run out of things to grind for. And I'm not talking about opfactions custom enchants. I'm talking get some good enchants even if its skidding from cosmic. Custom enchants can be a HUGE part of factions and the way its played. I think it mixes up the economy so much and makes it soooo much fun to grind for when all the legendary enchants are rare and you have to try and reveal dust to get good dust to up the chances of getting the book to work. Also will bring into account more spawners like blazes/skeletons for xp. Factions without CEs is grind a base afk and the occasional raiding. Factions with CEs is setup a farm during grace grind some CEs while doing base work and you continue to grind CEs through the seasons for sets. Which just makes another thing to not make EC a dead server with everyone afking.
