I've seen many servers have a function, where you can add a "friend" and such, by doing /f add [playername]. If said friend accepts your friend request, you can PM that friend through any server. You can which friends are online, and your entire friends list by doing /f list. This will show which friend is online, and the ones that are not online will say they are offline.

For example, something along the lines of this will show up if you do /f list:

Friends List:
Dieu is in Lobby 4
NxDs is playing Bedwars
Doxxer is playing Prison
Woims is offline
...

I feel like this should be helpful in keeping track of your online friends, and not having to add them on discord every time you want to stay in contact with them. This would be helpful to those that don't use/have discord/skype/teamspeak etc, and feel uncomfortable giving personal information to an online friend.
