For the best experience of playing minecraft for extremecraft players, now I think you should code a program which detects what version of minecraft the player is using as I saw on a Vietnamese minecraft server. Its a program called eflame.exe. It will let you join that server if you use the allowed version (and allowed mods such as laby mod) (every members have to download it) for example 1.8.x - 1.13.x , laby mod,.. I will provide the link to download that eflame program to test in that server, which IP address is play.3fmc.com.

Not only that would be bypassable but it would also drastically kill our playerbase as it would force players to do something that many aren't willing or capable of.
