Spear needs a nerf in PvP
Right now the spear is just killing PvP. Since ExtremeCraft is basically running 1.8 style PvP with no cooldowns, fights are supposed to be fast and punish mistakes, not let people escape whenever they want.
The spear isn’t even used for fighting, it’s just a free escape. You can take a bad fight, use it once, and you’re gone. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 1v1 or even 2v1, there’s barely any way to catch someone.
We’ve already seen this happen before. A lot of vanilla items had to be rebalanced multiple times to actually fit this kind of PvP. Mace and Wind Charges are good examples. They weren’t perfect at first, but after changes they became fine.
This just feels like the same situation again. The spear clearly doesn’t fit right now and needs adjusting.
What I think should happen
Disable spear while in combat
Add a bigger cooldown when not in combat
That way it still has a use for movement, just not something you can abuse mid fight.
