DigThePit prizes being rigged

So you added a feature called DigThePit to NeoSurvival which is an event where the top 3 miners get prizes. I am wondering why the prizes are random across the top 3. Sometimes top 1 get prize like 1 votekey/3 votekeys while the person at top 3 get legendary key. What are the intention behind this? And why did you not make the prize fixed or more fair for the top miner? Please give me an answer or an explantion. Thanks for reading.
