Improve Server Ping & Connectivity
I recently upgraded my internet from 200 Mbps to 500 Mbps, yet my ping on ExtremeCraft remains the same and I still experience lag. This shows that the issue isn’t with player bandwidth, but with how the server handles connections globally.
Proposed Improvements:
-Add Regional Proxy Servers / Nodes: Deploy proxy servers in Asia, North America, and Europe to reduce latency for players outside the main hosting region.
-Optimize Server Routing: Work with hosting providers that offer better peering agreements and routing paths to minimize packet travel time.
-Enable Dynamic Load Balancing: Distribute player connections across multiple nodes to prevent congestion during peak hours.
-Monitor & Adjust Bandwidth Allocation: Use automated monitoring tools to detect lag spikes and dynamically allocate resources to stabilize performance.
Expected Benefits:
-Lower ping for international players regardless of their internet speed.
-Smoother PvP combat and minigame experiences.
-Increased player satisfaction and retention.
-Stronger reputation for ExtremeCraft as a globally accessible server.Posted in Improvements for GLOBAL, status accepted, Upvotes: 37, Downvotes: -4
