Fixing lags
Right now, the main reason for server pressure is players keeping massive amounts of chests. So first we need to ask: why are they keeping them?
Obviously, it’s because they want to store items until the next rotation comes, so they can sell them then.
Wouldn’t it be better to add a restriction so that players can’t sell items like cane, cocoa, carrot, etc. from a previous rotation once they return to the shop again?
For example, carrots (or any other item) that appear in this rotation should only be sellable during the same rotation, and when they come back in a later rotation, old stock shouldn’t be sellable anymore.
This way, the game becomes fairer since no one has an advantage with old stock, and server pressure is reduced because players don’t keep items unnecessarily.
To avoid frustrating players, you could give them a short grace period (like 3 days or 1 week) to sell whatever they already have.(disable turning them to party points)
And most importantly, farms that are not in the current rotation should have their growth speed reduced significantly, while their shard value should increase significantly (for example, 1000 shards per hour seems fair).
This way, farms don’t become useless, but at the same time, there’s no strong reason to stockpile items anymore.
Also, reduce the value of storage barrels to 300-400 tokens and allow shulker boxes to be stored in them, so players won’t rely on keeping so many chests.Posted in Improvements for GLOBAL, status replied, Upvotes: 3, Downvotes: -2
