Altering mechanics in Anarchy [Extended]
Hello, I've played extreme craft for almost 6 years now, one of my favorite modes is anarchy. I apologize this post is so long.
However, the revival of anarchy has really ruined the game mode in my opinion. Bringing back an old, used, looted, destroyed map for us to play in? 16kx16k borders with a ridiculous cost of 66m to expand by a whopping 8 blocks? Not realistic at all. Anarchy is also the hardest mode to gain money on (for obvious reasons) yet prices are inflated to equal those of other game modes. It doesn't make much sense.
The vote crate rewards are pretty AWFUL considering any other key is nearly impossible to obtain unless specifically thru voting. I have yet to have seen an event or boss fight once since my return.
Some considerations:
Remove all netherite items from vote crate. Why are these even here? They have no enchants and are intentional filler items that have no practical use other than to burn keys. Also why is there a shield in vote crates? Absolutely useless item to again fill vote crates. After opening over 128 vote crates I received primarily ALL shields, tridents, elytras or the crossbow. The rest was money bag I or Shard box I or useless low grade kits.
Remove the Money bag from vote crate OR add only the highest two tiers. A bag with 5k to 10k is another worthless filler item.
Remove shard boxes from vote crate. [Or preferably; change the items you can buy with shards to anything actually useful like spawn eggs set to a higher price.] (There is literally not one single item worth buying from the anarchy shard store, it really doesn't even need to exist with the current items it offers. They are all entirely useless unless you plan on using trims nobody will ever see.)
Soul pouches Are useful and should be kept, but this is Anarchy, not survival. It is not nearly as feasible to gather tens of thousands of souls to obtain a single spawner, or 6k+ souls for a single spawn egg that is useful. (Refer forwards to the part where obtaining any spawn egg besides iron golem being nearly impossible) I'd say lower costs of soul shop items to be more reasonable with the Anarchy atmosphere. We don't have the ability to safely construct large mob grinders for souls; And on top of that, anarchy has the lowest rate for getting a spawner out of any gamemode at 0.07% from the vote crate. So getting a spawner is already ridiculously hard. (I'm not good at math but that's about 700 crate key spins for an overall of a 7% chance to obtain a spawner.)
Getting spawn eggs to change spawners is also nearly impossible as you can only obtain ONE spawn egg from the vote crate, iron golems. The byproduct of iron golems is peony's and iron ingots, neither of which have been able to be sold in the shop for a very long time, making golem spawners worthless. It is safe to say that most spawners on anarchy are iron golem spawners too, therefore people are not making any profit with the fact you cannot and have not been able to sell these byproducts. The only way to obtain any other spawn egg is by vigorously completing non renewable quests for a max of a few eggs, or a spawn egg key (0.66% chance) from vote crates.
Arguably, the kits in the vote crate are mostly worthless outside of extreme/nexus. And chances are high, you will get those crappy low tier kit books. I understand having crappy filler items of course, but the bottom 5 or 6 kits are basically useless and can't even be sold because new players have no way of gaining money outside of voting.
I don't mean to sound judgemental or rude or disrespectful as I'm sure a lot of thought has gone into these things, but one thing I have not seen is a single staff member on Anarchy at all, or one that regularly plays it. Which means all of these things go unnoticed and unchecked. I want to see extreme craft thrive and making changes is necessary for improvement.
Additionally some items that could be added to the vote crate are things like:
End crystals for crystal pvpers.
Stacks, or preferably multiple stacks of TNT.
Some passive mob spawn eggs.
Very low chance for items like infinite lava bucket and infinite water bucket.
USEFUL tools and armor with enchantments.
Slightly raised spawner drop chances. (0.07%, really?)
Also, the /shop Is quite absurd and MANY agree with me on that. Anarchy servers do not have shops or stores for purchasing any and all items you want. You are meant to hunt them down and find them and harvest them yourself (Or buy from other players), not buy them from an automated shop. That's part of what makes Anarchy chaotic and difficult and the shop completely and utterly nullified that. This change also severely boosts the economy, making players want to build farms for crops and trees etc, make mining and other tasks worth doing.
Essentially right now we have a glorified survival game mode but without claims or rules.(Also why put lockette in if I you can just TNT the chest or door?) And I mean that literally, the map is copy pasted with no effort having gone into a real wipe outside of the items in our vaults, EC's and economy balances being deleted. If you're going to revamp and start an anarchy server it should be a fresh, new world. That's just common sense. You wouldn't reset the survival world and replace it with an exact duplicate would you? So why did we do this for anarchy? I get the point was probably to make it fun to find and raid bases but instead we are left with a premade war torn, destroyed, looted world.
I'm sure there are plenty more things to add or change but I am tired and this suggestion got way too long, I apologize. I just want to see anarchy thriving again. I love Extreme craft and I am a dedicated player, I just want to help offer my idea's where possible.
