These rules are here to help keep ExtremeCraft fair, enjoyable, and safe for everyone. Do not look for loopholes. If something seems wrong, it probably is. If you are unsure, ask a staff member before doing it.
Not every possible situation can be listed here. Staff may still act against behaviour that clearly goes against fair play, common sense, or the spirit of the rules.
Because there is a lot of information here, we recommend using CTRL + F to quickly find what you need.
Important Notes:
- Staff may punish behaviour that is clearly harmful or abusive even if it is not written word for word below.
- Punishments depend on intent, severity, history, and context.
- Evidence older than 7 days may be disregarded depending on the situation.
- Any attempt to poach or recruit our staff or members to join or play on your server will be treated as advertising.
- TP-killing is allowed on all servers.
- Insiding, betrayal, internal sabotage, and similar team-related actions are allowed. Players join teams at their own risk, and staff will not intervene in losses caused by trust issues.
Modified Clients, Cheats, Disallowed Mods
Using modified clients, cheats, or mods that provide an unfair advantage over other players is strictly prohibited. All modifications are used at your own risk, including those not explicitly listed here. - Any advantage gained through a disallowed mod or feature may be removed.
- Any feature, mod, or setting that generates clicks without continuous physical input is treated as automated clicking.
Chat Behaviour
We want chat to remain welcoming, readable, and enjoyable for players of all ages. Behaviour that disrupts chat or targets other players in a toxic, abusive, or inappropriate way is not allowed.
Punishable chat behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
- Indecency, sexual harassment, racism, hate speech, name-calling, or general disrespect
- Advertising, spam, flooding, and excessive capital letters
- Public hackusations instead of reporting players properly
- Command trolling, such as tricking someone into running harmful commands
- Pretending to be a staff member
- Repeatedly asking for rank-ups, items, money, or other benefits
- Encouraging harmful behaviour
- Any other behaviour that disrupts chat or ruins the experience for others
- General rudeness, including unnecessary hostility or repeatedly trying to provoke others
Notes:
- Swearing is allowed, but targeting players, being abusive, or evading the censor is not.
- Turning off the filter with /tcf is a personal choice and does not make toxic behaviour acceptable.
- Some offences may overlap and still be punished under general rudeness or related behaviour categories.
Offensive and Gameplay-Related Behaviour
There are also a number of non-chat behaviours that are not allowed. These rules exist to prevent players from ruining the game experience of others or unfairly exploiting server features.
Disallowed behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
- Griefing, including intentionally damaging or stealing another player’s property where protections apply
- Staff TP-killing, such as luring staff with false help requests to kill them
- Warp-Killing
- Abusing staff teleport requests, fake help requests, or staff support systems to gain an advantage
- Scamming on servers where scamming is not allowed
- Store scamming, such as promising ranks, Coins, or perks in exchange for in-game valuables
- Claim trolling or claiming purely to annoy, obstruct, or harass others
- Creating inappropriate content such as offensive builds, signs, books, weapons, or names
- Creating lag machines or farms intended to harm server performance
- Stealing Event keys, VoteParty rewards, or crate items by abusing inventories or mechanics
- Glitching through blocks or entering areas you are not meant to access
- Pushing or hitting players off the edge in PvP arenas where this is not allowed
- Abusing commands to escape PvP
- Command spam or command abuse
- Abusing pets, including glitching or using them unfairly in combat
- Exploiting game mechanics to gain unfair advantages
- Hiding or assisting rule-breakers
- Framing other players or providing false evidence
- Sharing accounts with banned players
- Doxxing or sharing private information
- Stealing information, including the use of IP grabbers or similar links
- Selling accounts
- Threats of any kind
- Inviting a ban evader into a team, party, or similar group
Notes:
- TP-killing is allowed on all servers.
- Assisting with or setting up TP-kills is allowed where normal TP-killing is involved, but may still be punished if it involves a separate offence such as staff TP-killing, fake help requests, severe misconduct, or abuse of staff support systems.
- We may not be able to return items lost through scams or TP-kills if the items can no longer be traced or recovered.
- Scams that could have been safely avoided by using /trade may not be handled by staff.
- Scamming is allowed only on Factions, Anarchy, Lifesteal, and Towny.
- Cross-server scamming is allowed only between Factions, Anarchy, Lifesteal, and Towny.
- Scamming outside those servers is punishable.
- Buycraft/Coin scamming is never allowed anywhere.
- Inappropriate item names are not allowed anywhere.
Boosting
(Islands, Factions, Towns, Hall of Fame, and similar systems)
Boosting is any attempt to unfairly manipulate progression, statistics, points, rankings, or Hall of Fame standings through artificial or coordinated methods instead of normal gameplay.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Using alternate accounts, temporary members, or temporary factions/towns/islands to transfer progress, value, or points
- Moving players in or out of a faction, town, or island to artificially increase rankings or Hall of Fame standings
- Coordinating with another player or group to intentionally feed points, wins, kills, resources, claims, spawners, or other progression for ranking purposes
- Trading, selling, buying, transferring, or negotiating points directly
- Offering or receiving items, currency, services, access, or benefits in exchange for points
- Any indirect, staged, or disguised agreement intended to manipulate leaderboards or Hall of Fame standings
Notes:
- Points are not tradable, sellable, buyable, or transferable under any circumstances.
- Points must be earned through the intended gameplay mechanics of the server.
- Any player-to-player agreement involving points will be treated as boosting.
- Normal trading of items, currency, spawners, resources, gear, or services is allowed, provided points or leaderboard manipulation are not part of the agreement.
- Buying items or resources that may help your faction, town, or island progress is allowed as normal gameplay, unless the trade is specifically arranged to manipulate points or rankings.
- Staff may still take action where a trade or agreement is clearly being used as a disguise for boosting.
Multiple Accounts
Using multiple accounts is not allowed. This creates unfair advantages, enables abuse such as ban evasion or reward duplication, and makes it harder for staff to enforce rules fairly.
Server Reset / Wipe Compensation
If a server is reset, players may be eligible for compensation for certain consumable CoinShop purchases made for that server, such as keys, temporary boosts, or similar one-time items.
Coins are never eligible for compensation because they are a global currency and are not wiped.
Permanent group purchases, such as ranks or permanent account upgrades, are also not affected by wipes.
Compensation is based on one applicable purchase window only:
- If Hall of Fame is active at the time of reset, only eligible consumable purchases made after the end of the previous Hall of Fame will qualify.
- If Hall of Fame is not active at the time of reset, or has already ended, only eligible consumable purchases made within the 14 days before the reset will qualify.
These two windows do not stack. Only the single window that applies at the time of reset will be used.
Compensation is based solely on server payment records and purchase logs. The following are not eligible:
- Refunded or chargebacked purchases
- Purchases already compensated in a previous reset
- Items transferred, traded, dropped, gifted, or claimed by another player
- Purchases staff believe were abusive or intended to exploit the compensation system
Compensation is granted to the original purchaser only, once per reset, and may be given as the original item or an equivalent replacement if the original is no longer available.
Staff have the final decision on compensation eligibility based on store records, item type, and abuse prevention.
Real Currency Trading
This section covers trades involving real-world money or anything of real-world value instead of normal in-game trading.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Trading real money for in-game currency or items
- Using external payment platforms such as Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or similar services for server-related trades
- Trading in-game goods for gift cards, crypto, accounts, or real-world goods and services
Fair use exception:
Non-commercial systems that use only free, in-server rewards and are funded entirely by server-issued resources may be allowed, provided that no real money is involved at any stage.
Screensharing
If a player is suspected of cheating or breaking rules and the evidence is unclear or disputed, staff may offer a screenshare to help clarify the situation.
You may refuse a screenshare, but refusal will usually be treated as an admission of guilt. If you agree to a screenshare, full cooperation is expected. Attempts to hide, delete, avoid, or interfere with evidence may be treated as a serious offence.
Other
We reserve the right to decide what qualifies as an offence and to take appropriate action where needed, including in cases not specifically listed above.
Staff decisions are based on context, intent, severity, and fairness. Use common sense, play fairly, and ask for clarification when needed.
